'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date update: Absence of gameplay trailer explained; expected early 2017

The upcoming action role-playing video game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," is one of the many titles that several gamers have been waiting for. Its release information is still vague until now, but reports say that it will be launched early next year.
Fans are wondering why developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have been awfully quiet about the game. They didn't even release gameplay footage which made fans speculate that something must be obstructing game's development.
However, EA Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund assured fans during the Gamescom 2016. In his interview with Game Informer, he said that they will be releasing information and a teaser of the game soon.
"You'll get [your first look at gameplay] in the not too distant future," Soderlund said. He also shared about how he was able to play the game. "I get people want to see gameplay and I just came back from a short vacation and I played through the first three hours of the game," he added.
His statement basically proved that fans do not have anything to worry about even if the company has yet to release anything. For Soderlund, it's all in the right timing since EA is gearing up for their upcoming holiday games such as "Battlefield 1" and "Titanfall 2." Both games are scheduled to be released this coming October, so EA is most likely focused on it for now.
EA promised that, as soon as the holiday games are launched, they will start working on promoting the third-person shooter game. Fans can also expect its first gameplay footage by then. And since the title is considered as BioWare's most ambitious game so far, gamers can anticipate a game that will boast great features.
Reports say that the game will have zero loading screens, and it will not affect the scale of the game. More planetary exploration missions will also be added.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is slated to be released for the PlayStation 4, XBox One, and the PC in early 2017, most likely within January to March.
