According to a report by Android Headlines, Meitu's newest device called the Meitu M6 was introduced to the public in China. Its highlight features are its front and back cameras which are both 21-megapixels. It's no doubt a device that selfie lovers will truly indulge.

This is not the first time though that Meitu released such device. The company also released the Meitu V4 back in November last year. The model comes with the same camera as the new Meitu M6 and also shares the same specs, except the V4 comes with 128 GB of internal storage and has a leather back.

For the other specs and features of the smartphone, FitNHit detailed that the device carries a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is equipped under the hood with MediaTek's Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz.

It also comes with the Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processing unit and runs with 3 GB of RAM. Its native storage space available is 64 GB which can be expanded further via a microSD card slot. Planet Biometrics also reported that the device has biometric developer Fingerprint Cards' sensor FPC1035, which is positioned on the front.

CEO of Fingerprint Cards Jorgen Lantto stated, "Meitu is one of the newer smartphone manufacturers in China and we are proud that they selected FPC1035 for the M6 model, its first smartphone model featuring a fingerprint sensor."

Moreover, the device comes with a 2,900mAh battery pack and features a support for 2A fast charging. It runs with Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its operating system and its connectivity options include Wi-Fi Hotspot, 4G LTE, 2G/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS. Color options available include Moonlight White and Cherry Pink.
