It has already been three years since the fatal skiing accident of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher. But until now, fans are still hoping for the best despite the lack of updates regarding his health condition.

Many wish to keep track of how he is doing but it is not possible to get fresh updates about Schumacher right now since his family had strictly asked for a media blackout in terms of his progress.

Nonetheless, reports suggested that the talk of the two-time Laureus World Sportsman awardee recovered from his coma and already on a wheelchair is false. He is still actually recovering from the serious brain damages that he incurred and as many would put it, it will take a miracle for Schumacher to fully heal.

Currently, information regarding his health is still kept private but reports said that former Formula One priest Don Sergio Mantovani gave a vague update on the racer's present status. Mantovani reportedly spoke to a German newspaper and said that Schumacher is still fighting. He told the publication that until now, Schumacher is still a hero in his battle.

Mantovani also spoke about Schumacher's spiritual status. "What we saw as a driver and certainly what is true still today is that Michael is a fighter, I know he believes in God, but doesn't go to church," said Mantovani.

But as much as fans want to know more, Mantovani revealed that he had no recent contact with the family. The priest mentioned though that he will continue to pray for Schumacher. He also believes that everything happened for a reason that God may only know.

Reports said that Schumacher is currently in an intense rehabilitation program spearheaded by Prof. Francois Payen. It's also said that a total of 15 medical experts are looking after his health. Schumacher acquired severe head injuries because of a skiing accident in the French Alpine back in December 2013.
