There's good news for those who are looking into purchasing Huawei's 2-in-1 MateBook. Now is the best time to buy the device as there is a back-to-school promo that is currently ongoing.

PRNewswire reports that the Chinese tech company is offering the MateBook with free MateBook Portfolio Keyboard if they purchase via Microsoft Stores either online or in physical stores. With a starting price of only $699, buyers will get the two devices at a really great bundle deal.

A 4 GB memory and 128 GB SSD MateBook alone retails for $849 while the keyboard accessory is valued at $129. However, with the bundle price, consumers will save more than $200. Apparently, the Huawei MateBook 2-in-1 device and MateBook Portfolio Keyboard tandem is more attracting now compared to its competitor, the Apple iPad Pro, which sells at $749 and the Smart Keyboard which retails at $149.

Those who are interested in picking up the bundle shouldn't waste time, though, as the promo will run only from Aug. 15 to Sept. 11 and until stocks last. Other variants are also available. As detailed in a report, the Core M5 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD is priced at $849 while the Core M5 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD is priced at $999. The biggest of all, the Core M5 with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD, is priced at $1199.

Moreover, Huawei is also running a promotion over at Amazon. Those who are buying the MateBook and keyboard via Amazon will get a $100 discount from the price.

For those who are not in the loop yet, the Huawei MateBook is a 2-in-1 detachable hybrid tablet designed purposefully for students who are looking for convenience. The MateBook is a combination of a highly mobile device and PC aimed to bring mobility, productivity, design and even entertainment.

Packed with a Windows 10 operating system, the device is a great tool to a student's academic life. Meanwhile, the Portfolio Keyboard is described to be similar to the Type Cover keyboard that is used on Microsoft's Surface devices. Two colors are available, light brown and dark black, and comes with backlighting support.
