Microsoft Surface Phone release date rumors 2016: Flagship to be available next year after Redstone 2 launch?

The release of the Microsoft Surface Phone reportedly depends on when Redstone 2, the second major upgrade for Windows 10, will be made available.
As per rumor mills, the Redstone 2 will likely be up and running by April 2017. In view of the reports that Microsoft's smartphone line will be preceded by the software, the Microsoft Surface Phone should see the light of day around that time as well.
Redstone 2 will bring brand new features and improvements to Windows 10, which is why Microsoft is patiently waiting for it to be completed so as to utilize all of it on the Microsoft Surface Phone.
