Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, specs, pricing rumors: Hybrid device to be released in June?
Microsoft is expected to release the Surface Pro 5 this year, adding another innovate model to its lineup. Fans and critics are definitely excited to know what the company is going to offer on the next line. When the current Surface Pro 4 was released in October of last year, the hybrid device was dubbed as the laptop stopper. According to reports, the upcoming Surface Pro 5 will be no different. Rumor has it that the device will be release in either June or October.
Although the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was well received by consumers, Microsoft intends to release a new device that will be even better than its predecessor. Fans are also expecting new features from the new device and better specs than the last line.
If the company will follow the pattern of the Surface Pro 4 release, the new model will be rolled out in October; however, there are reports suggesting that the device might have a holiday 2016 release. News Everyday also reported that Microsoft may opt for a 2017 release. There are also reports that the device will be released as early as June to compete with Apple's new MacBooks.
However, nothing has been set in stone as Microsoft has yet to confirm the rumors that are circulating all over the Internet.
Meanwhile, although the company has been mum about the upcoming release of the device, rumors about its specs have already hit several forums and news publications. According to reports, the Surface Pro 5 will carry a 13.3 display with 4K capability. It will run on Intel Skylake processor and the latest Windows 10 operating system. It will also have a fingerprint scanner as well as an improved battery system, which is said to be designed to last longer than its predecessor.
Rumor has it that the new model will have a similar price to the current line. It will be sold at around $900 while the top of the line versions could go as high as $2,200.
