The upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for "Monster Hunter Generations" will be in the form of Link straight from "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker."
"Monster Hunter Generations" is giving the Toon Link version of the iconic hero a "Felyne" makeover, making Link the latest Palico running around the world.
The Link Felyne costume will be available when the game releases internationally next week, July 15, although a demo for it is available in the Nintendo eShop.

"Monster Hunter Generations" has been around Japan for more than a year (since May 2015 to be specific). There, it was referred to as "Monster Hunter X." Toon Link was also made available to the game via DLC.
There have been tons of animes and video games that collaborated with "Monster Hunter." This includes "Mega Man," "Metroid", "Yu-Gi-Oh!" and Yowamushi Pedal.
Toon Link is the latest crossover character to get the "Monster Hunter Generations" treatment. The other one confirmed for the upcoming title is another gaming great.
Back in April, "Monster Hunter Generations" pulled some nostalgic strings in the hearts of fans by bringing a Felyne costume inspired by the Amaterasu from the decade-old Capcom action-adventure video game "Okami."
In "Monster Hunter X," Felynes only served as companion to players and nothing more. "Monster Hunter Generations" is taking things up a notch and is giving players the chance to play as the once-side characters.
In addition, when "Monster Hunter Generations" goes out beyond Japan, it will feature additional features such as special attacks and brand new combat styles.
The core of the game remains to be the dangerous missions where players are tasked to hunt down creatures of varying degree of beastliness.
A week prior to the international launch of "Monster Hunter Generations," a gameplay video that runs one and a half hours courtesy of GiantBomb has been released Check it out below.
