'Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3' update: New DLC still in the works despite absence in EVO 2016

"Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" is still nowhere to be found. Many were expecting it to arrive at the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2016 and in the San Diego Comic-Con, but it never came.
Some were disappointed, thinking that perhaps the third downloadable content (DLC) of the game would not come while continued to be positive about its arrival soon.
Fortunately, for the benefit of everyone, game director Ed Boon gave out a clue saying that the DLC is still coming. He did not state it directly, though. Instead, he tweeted another survey to his followers which is what he usually does.
This time, however, he asked if they are going to purchase an Xbox One S. He set up a poll with three options to choose from — yes, no, and "Kombat Pack 3 Dammit"
As expected, several chose the third option, indicating that they are eager to get the new DLC. Out from more than 13,000 respondents, the final 66 percent chose the last option. The poll wasn't exactly the kind of information fans were looking for, but it somehow debunked cancellation rumors.
Now, fans continue to wonder when the DLC will come out. According to a report, Boon may have assured fans that "Kombat Pack 3" will be released, but it might still be delayed due to other projects that developer NetherRealms is currently working on.
It is found out that NetherRealm's plate is full right now with "Injustice 2" slated for a 2017 release. However, Boon said that there is no need for fans to be weary or anxious about the arrival of the DLC. They have big plans lined up for the game, and it won't be long until they make official announcements regarding the matter.
Fans may recall that Boon previously teased that they have big news coming for the fighting video game title. He mentioned it last month, but details about it are still kept under wraps. Fans will have to stay tuned to get new updates for the game.
