American crime thriller "Narcos" is coming back to Netflix soon for its second season. The first run ended in 2015 and it has been a long wait for the fans. Finally, the waiting is over as it is said to return this August.

According to a report by The Bitbag, there is no official date yet for the premiere of the first episode of season 2. However, since filming is close to wrapping up this month already, the show is expected to start two months from now. Also, "Narcos" started in August last year so there's a good chance that it will follow the same path. Reports suggest that it will start on Aug. 26. Fans will have to watch out for updates on the season premiere date.

They should also be aware, though, that the main protagonist-antagonist of the series is going to meet his end in season 2. For those who are not in the loop yet, the show follows the life of Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar, who is played by Brazilian actor Wagner Moura. The character had a good run in the first season with his drug business, but the next season will focus more on how his life will end.

According to iDigital Times, series composer Pedro Bromfman said that "Narcos" season 2 will be about the fall of Escobar as well as the destruction of the Medellin cartel. He also mentioned that the Cali cartel will rise at this point. It's also expected to move to Mexico eventually but season 2 will talk a lot on how the drug business will move from one place to another.

"It just shifts places, but it keeps moving," said Bromfman. "As long as there's people buying drugs, there'll be bad guys trying to provide them and killing people and doing things," he added.

New characters are also expected to be introduced. Speculations claim that the Los Pepes vigilante group is going to be the one to take down Pablo. Fans will have to watch out for updates on "Narcos" season 2 in the coming weeks.
