'NBA 2K17' updates: Player rating released; includes improved mobile face scanning feature

The release of the basketball simulation video game "NBA 2K17" is fast approaching, and avid fans are already excited to grab a copy of it.
According to reports, the latest title in the franchise will be packed with exciting features that gamers will surely revel in. One of the highlights of the game is the NBA player rating feature, some of which were already unveiled by some of the players.
Among those who had their "NBA 2K17" ratings were unveiled include D' Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance Jr. Los Angeles Lakers player Julius Randle's rating was also revealed, which is a rating of 77. Aside from that, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons received a rating of 79 while Denzel Valentine got a 73. Another 76ers player mentioned is Joel Embiid who mysteriously got a rating of 77 despite not having a chance to play yet.
However, it is stated that the one who received the highest rating so far is Minnesota Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns with a rating of 88. Coming in second is Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons, who gained a rating of 87, while Miami Heat's Hassan Whiteside and Memphis' Mike Conley Jr. both got 85. Isaiah Thomas of the Bolton Celtics also had the same rating.
Polygon also reported that, while waiting for the game, fans can opt to check out "The Prelude," which can be freely downloaded 11 days before the actual launch of the game. "The Prelude" also permits anyone with a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One to play the introduction of MyCareer.
Reports also stated that the game's face-scanning feature have been improved. It will most likely be incorporated in the game's mobile app companion. Publisher 2K Sports promised an enhanced face-scanning technology which will be made available via the MyNBA2K17 app. The app is reportedly scheduled to come out on Sept. 8, and it will be available for both iOS and Android devices.
"NBA 2K17" is set to be released on Sept. 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
