'NCIS: LA' season 8 spoilers: New season will be 'craziest' for Kensi and Deeks

Fans of Kensi (Eric Christian Olsen) and Deeks (Daniela Ruah) will be happy to know that in "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8, the two lovebirds will reach a pretty important milestone in their relationship.

Speaking to Michael Ausiello of TVLine during the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2016, Olsen teased that Kensi and Deeks will be close to becoming an official married couple now, but with an exciting twist.

Olsen said that for "NCIS: LA" season 8, Kensi and Deeks will take a big step in their relationship, describing it as an "engagement but not in the traditional sense of the word."

He did not go into detail about that, but TVLine points out that knowing how things between Kensi and Deeks are not exactly the most traditional, this comes as a little shock to fans who follow the characters.

Carter Matt believes that Deeks will do something crazy when he pops the question, which is to be expected for someone like him. This has the site excited for the two to tie the knot at some point in "NCIS: LA."

"This is probably the craziest season for these two characters that we've ever done," the actor continued. Ruah chimed in and said that she is happy about how the storyline was handled perfectly seeing that they had a lot to take into account, including her pregnancy.

"Obviously, they've come up with a storyline to sort of hide my pregnancy and I love the first time they did that. And this time, it's an even stronger storyline," the actress said, adding that it will be "powerful."

As for an onscreen pregnancy for Kensi, it appears that this is not planned for the character, at least not in "NCIS: LA" season 8. With that said, fans will have to wait a bit more for a Kensi-Deeks baby.

"NCIS: LA" season 8 will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
