'NCIS' season 13 spoilers news: EP discusses Michelle Obama's role in new episode 'Homefront'
When "NCIS" season 13 returns after its hiatus, fans will get to watch Agent Gibbs and the crew in action in the White House. The episode will be graced with none other than the First Lady Michelle Obama herself.

Now, "NCIS" executive producer Gary Glasberg has spoken about what brought Mrs. Obama into the fold. Speaking to TV Line, he revealed that the First Lady's appearance will involve her Joining Forces initiative with Dr. Jill Biden.
The Joining Forces initiative centers on the support of service members, veterans and their families by granting them opportunities on employment, wellness and education.
When the chance to tell a story "that sort of spoke to [the initiative] and what they offer," Glasberg, who was already familiar with Joining Forces before they came up with this special episode of "NCIS" season 13, said they started brainstorming in making it work.
"And when we started to talk about it, because of the First Lady's significant involvement, they wanted to participate," he explained.
Obama was supposed to visit the set but her schedule prevented her, which led to the "NCIS" team getting offered to film the special "NCIS" installment for season 13 in the White House instead.
"This was never done before so it was a dream for many of us," Glasberg said of filming inside the presidential residence with the First Lady.
"It was such a pleasure working with First Lady Michelle Obama, and it's our honor to support the Joining Forces initiative and the military families that benefit from it," Glasberg said in an official statement picked up by EOnline.
In the "NCIS" episode in question, Obama will meet Agent Gibbs and Anne Marshall, a wife of a Marine after her teenage son foils a home invasion. Anne Marshall will be played by "24" alum Reiko Aylesworth.
