'NCIS' season 14 release date, cast spoilers: Show adds two new cast members from 'Blue Bloods' and 'That 70s Show'

"NCIS" season 14 will have two new members joining their group, and the casting choices may even lead to more followers. The show will be adding former "That 70s Show" regular Wilmer Valderrama and former "Blue Bloods" star Jennifer Esposito as new members of the team.
According to Blasting News, another recently added member of the team, Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham), was met with mixed reactions from fans as some were said to be not impressed with her acting ability. The casting of Esposito may lead to good things as she already has enough experience with being in a detective show. Being cast in "NCIS" may not be a stretch for her or her fans, since she has basically made a name for herself in the genre of crime dramas.
The outlet noted that it's quite surprising that CBS has cast Esposito in another cop drama, as her exit from "Blue Bloods" back in 2012 was apparently on bad terms. Esposito will be playing Special Agent Alexandra "Alex" Quinn; her character will be someone coming in from another department, and she will be recruited by Mark Harmon's Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
On the other hand, Valderrama has been cast as a series regular. TV fanatics may recognize him as the lovable foreign exchange student Fez back in "That 70s Show." This role will be a stretch from the role that he was once popularly known for.
Valderrama will be playing an undercover agent who has just come back after a long undercover job. CBS describes the role as "an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon."
Series executive producer Gary Glasberg said, "Fans are going to see him like they've never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We're thrilled he's coming aboard."
As per Cartermatt, Valderrama has already teased the title of the first episode of the upcoming season, and it's called "Rogue."
"NCIS" season 14 will be premiering this Sept. 20 on CBS.
