'New Girl' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Megan Fox to return for major story arc

As it turns out, actress Megan Fox is nowhere near done with "New Girl" as the Transformers" star is set for a big return in season 6 of the Fox comedy series.
Fox was originally brought in on the show in season 5 to fill in for Zooey Deschanel, who was on maternity leave during the production of the initial episodes.
The star played the role of Reagan, who easily got cozy with Nick (Jake Johnson) as Jess (Deschanel) was away for jury duty. For "New Girl" season 6, will be starring on eight episodes.
Fox's run on "New Girl" season 5 was a big hit to fans that she was brought back in for more episodes later in the season. She was even part of the finale.
Fans will be happy to know that she's back for more. She won't be appearing immediately in the new season, though. To accommodate Fox's real-life pregnancy, she was booked for a midseason return instead.
It is a mystery what Reagan's return in "New Girl" season 6 means for Jess and Nick's love affair. As per Bustle, it was clear that the show was getting ready to restore that relationship.
However, the return of Reagan should incur some changes. Now, it is hard to figure out what this does for Nick and Jess although fans hope that they will still find their way in each other's arms soon.
Having Reagan around clearly makes Jess realize how much she is into Nick. In "New Girl" season 6, Reagan, in a way, may help her act on this realization.
When Fox's season 5 run ended on the show, Reagan and Nick were supposed to spend some time together in New Orleans. It remains a mystery how this will work out.
"New Girl" season 6 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on FOX.
