Nintendo NX updates: NX is a portable console which brings the best of both worlds

So far, the companies that dominate the console master race have been Sony and Microsoft with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One respectively. Nintendo is still one of the most recognizable brands when it comes to handheld gaming, but it looks like Nintendo wants to add more to its console lineup when they release the Nintendo NX, a mixture of the best of handheld gaming and consoles.
According to a report by Tech Radar, the Nintendo NX will be a handheld gaming system that players will be able to take around with them when they leave home. What's interesting, however, is that the device can be connected to a television so that gamers can enjoy their games on a bigger screen. What's more, the device comes with detachable controllers that allow more players to enjoy the device at a time.
The Nintendo NX console is also said to run on cartridges, a feature that Nintendo consoles have not had since the Nintendo 64.
Some fans are relieved to be hearing news about the Nintendo NX console. Back during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 (E3), many were disappointed that Nintendo was not able to come up with any updates or announcements for the NX.
It seems that the Nintendo NX will go unopposed when it comes to the handheld console market, but before E3, Sony had confirmed the existence of the PS4 Neo, which some consider being the PS4.5, a smaller and more efficient version of the PS4. Reports say that Sony plans to hold an event this coming September to discuss the future of Playstation.
Microsoft is also not one to be left behind, as they are planning the release of their next big console called Project Scorpio, a device capable of 6 teraflops of computing power that will allow 4K gaming and VR.
With competition like that, the Nintendo NX better bring its best to the table.
