The upcoming sixth season of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" could find Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) tying the knot.

In the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, the outlet reminded "Once Upon A Time" viewers about the wedding dress that was hanging in the background when Emma and Hook reunited during the season 5 finale.

Prior to the "Dead of Summer" panel at the ATX Television Festival this month, EW asked the show's creators about the possibility of a wedding in the next season of the fairy tale mystery/drama.

"I would say you'll have to watch season 6, you never know what's going to happen," co-creator and executive producer Edward Kitsis answered. "You never know what's going to happen with those two."

The series, which follows the inhabitants of the fictional town of Storybrooke, is populated by characters from popular fairy tales and has introduced a new villain each season. The main protagonists, which include such well-loved fairy tale characters as Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Belle (Emilie de Ravin), and Captain Hook (O'Donoghue), are then forced to take on the fairy tale baddies. Each season thus far has seen the good guys more or less prevailing.

However, the show's creators recently announced that the sixth season of "Once Upon A Time" will deviate from its tried and true formula of introducing a villain, fighting him for ten episodes, and killing him off in the finale.

"We are changing around what we're doing this year and going back to that season 1 mentality of small town stories and smaller arcs," Kitsis said during ATX, as quoted by EW.

During the event, Kitsis and his "Once Upon A Time" co-creator Adam Horowitz also revealed that they will no longer be cutting the season in half, as they have done for the first five seasons. Instead, they will be airing one long 22-episode story for season 6.

"We're also planning a 22-episode story as opposed to breaking it up into two halves this year," Horowitz said.

"Once Upon a Time" will return this fall on ABC.
