'Once Upon A Time' season 6 spoilers news 2016: Evil Queen takes center stage in new poster

A new poster for "Once Upon A Time" season 6 was debuted at the Comic-Con, and it has the spotlight on Evil Queen (Lana Parilla), who came into physical being after Regina (Parilla) tried to banish her.

On the poster, fans will see an apple that's black on one side and red on the other, likely signifying Regina's evil and good side split apart. The right side of Evil Queen's face peeks in the background.

The tagline on the "Once Upon A Time" season 6 promotional image reads "Long Live the Queen," hinting that Regina's sinister half will rein terror in Storybrooke.

Although "Once Upon A Time" season 6 will feature various story arcs, Regina's split personality will be one of the overarching storylines the new season will tackle.

This is a new kind of approach on the show in terms of telling a story about the Evil Queen simply because in the past, it was only just Regina slipping into her evil alter ego.

In "Once Upon A Time" season 6, the Evil Queen will be physically there along with Regina herself, making fans excited to learn where this story goes.

"If she's unleashed, she would show Regina what ripping away everyone's happy ending truly looks like," executive producer Edward Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly of Evil Queen's plans.

With regards to what will happen to Regina with the Evil Queen now out of her, Kitsis said that Jekyll (Hank Harris) and Hyde (Sam Witwer) will help that make sense in "Once Upon A Time" season 6.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the appearance of the Evil Queen will have Regina needing a shrink, which is why Dr. Archie Hopper (Raphael Sbarge) will be back on duty.

He is also known as Storybrooke's version of Jiminy Cricket and he has a new patient to attend to and it is believed to be Regina.

Production for "Once Upon A Time" season 6 has already begun in time for its premiere on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
