'One Piece' chapter 845 spoilers: Will Luffy's hunger strike bring Sanji back?

\"One Piece\" is a long-running manga series written by Eiichiro Oda and has been serialized on the \"Weekly Shounen Jump\" magazine since 1997. | Viz official website

When Luffy sets his mind to a task, there's just simply no stopping him. But how long can he possibly keep the vow he made to get his friend Sanji back?

"One Piece" chapter 845 may find Luffy in the same position that the previous chapter left him in: kneeling on the ground, all beaten up but determined not to leave nor eat a bite of food unless Sanji turns back and recants his hurtful lies. But will this be enough to give the cornered Vinsmoke prince a reason to return to the Straw Hat crew and trust that they will be able to keep his family away from killing his mentor Zeff?

One speculation about the upcoming chapter suggested that Sanji may still find a way to turn back, get out of Whole Cake Island and keep Master Zeff safe. Then again, he may also just give up and choose to stay and do right by his duty as the prince of Germa, thereby putting Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew behind him. At this point, he seems to believe that this is the best thing to do.

But what Sanji wants does not necessarily equate to what Luffy might do. His captain has seen through his lies and is determined to stay right where he is until Sanji comes to his senses and somehow finds a way to let him know the true reasons behind his feigned hostility. Will his sister Reiju pull through for him and let his friends know the threats that have been driving Sanji's forced obedience?

"One Piece" chapter 845 may also feature the meeting between the Vinsmokes and Big Mom. Planning for the wedding between Sanji and Lady Pudding could make up most of the upcoming chapter. There have also been speculations that Lady Pudding herself may reject Sanji after seeing her groom-to-be's reluctance. Her previous encounter with the Sanji retrieval team could also motivate her to come up with a plan to help Sanji escape.

Chopper is also still traveling through the mirrors in Whole Cake Island and may also be able to assist in breaking Sanji out.

The next chapter of "One Piece" comes out on Monday, Oct. 31, on issue #48 of "Weekly Shounen Jump."
