'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, spoilers: Genos to become Saitama's foe?

Announcements regarding Japanese webcomic "One Punch Man" season 2 are still missing in action. Fans who are looking forward to it are already wondering when the second installment may possibly arrive.
According to reports, the anime series could potentially be canceled. Although nothing has been confirmed, the delay of "One Punch Man" season 2 could indicate the uncertainty of its future. It may never be able to see the light of day as it has almost been a year since the first season ended.
There have also been no recent updates, leading the fans to speculate that the new season is not going to be completed. Creator Yusuke Murata has not commented on any of the cancellation rumors. But regardless of the lack of information, some fans are optimistic that Murata will make some updates by this month.
And if they are lucky, the air date of the second installment could land sometime this October. Fans are crossing their fingers that it will happen despite news and rumors about delays.
Fans are also holding on to the speculations that are going around. According to reports, "One Punch Man" season 2 will follow a storyline that involves protagonist Saitama fighting against his former ally Genos. He has always been recognized to be the cyborg disciple of Saitama, but rumors are rife that he will become the next antagonist that Saitama needs to face.
It's said that the two will face off as they will no longer share the same beliefs. And though fans are already used to watching Genos battle with Saitama, this time, it would be different as the master–apprentice relationship will not be in the picture anymore.
Word also has it that the second season will feature Garou, a past disciple of Bang. He has been kicked out of Bang's dojo due to his bad attitude and behavior.
None of the information above is official, so it's best to take them with a grain of salt. Fans are advised to wait for official announcements coming from the production crew.
