'One Punch Man' Season 2 release date, updates: Premiere expected in October? Powerful villains to be introduced
The hugely popular anime series "One Punch Man" has entered months of hiatus since the first season concludes in December 2015. There are only limited news regarding the second season of the show, although the latest reports suggest that the followers of the series may not have to wait much longer as "One Punch Man" Season 2 is expected to return this year.

If the rumors are correct, "One Punch Man" Season 2 will arrive sometime in October this year. This is contrary to some reports that the release date of the second season will be pushed back to 2017.
The new season will feature more thrilling and breath-taking adventures of Saitama as he defends the world against evil. However, there are also rumors that Saitama may find his future fights to be more difficult than those from Season 1 as more powerful villains are going to be introduced in Season 2.
According to the same publication, Saitama will find himself in a very challenging bout against class A Rank 1 hero, Amai Mask. To recall, Saitama had an issue with Amai Mask as the latter blamed him for causing incredible destruction everytime Saitama is having a battle with monsters. He even claimed that Saitama was dealing more damage to the cities than the actual villains.
To make matters worse for Saitama, other reports suggests that another Omnipotent villain will challenge the protagonist to a bloody fight. The villain is expected to have the same power level as Saitama, although it is also possible that the villain will be way more powerful than him.
According to the rumors, the powerful villain may be a former apprentice of Silver Fang, or he could also be Garou. Nevertheless, Saitama is in for a very difficult season with two potentially overpowered villains hell-bent on taking him down.
