Operating system updates are supposed to bring in some improvements for users to revel in. That's not the case for the recent OnePlus 3 Oxygen OS 3.2.4 update, though.

According to reports, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer faced problems after rolling out the eagerly-anticipated Oxygen OS 3.2.4 update. Users of the OnePlus 3 smartphone were expecting some bug fixes and new updates, but instead of getting some, they received nothing but bugs and problems in their mobile.

Several posted complaints after they installed the update. Some said that while the "hotfix patch" made some fixes with the original auto-restart and call quality issues, the Android Pay stopped working. Aside from that, some users received problems with the holding onto a 4G LTE signal. Many claimed that their smartphones constantly drop back to 3G and 2G connections.

A solution has been found since then, though. As detailed in a report, affected users can lock in an LTE signal on their phone by opening the dialer, tapping on *#*#4636#*#* and opening Phone Information. Afterward, click on Preferred network type and select LTE only. Unfortunately, this technique does not work for everybody. An updated fix is still necessary.

One user complained about experiencing random reboots, saying that the phone would randomly restart and boot looped. Another one said that phone calls have been "unusable," wherein the person at the other end of the line cannot hear the user. Some also pointed out some problems with the front camera.

Because of the rampant issues and complaints, OnePlus has decided to put a halt on the rollout of the OS update. GSM Arena also noted that the company opened a thread on its forum where OnePlus 3 users can check out to get some temporary fixes, report additional bugs and keep watch of upcoming updates.

The OnePlus 3 device comes with 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The device is priced at $399.
