Oppo R9, R9 Plus news and updates: Both are confirmed to be released in China in 2016.

Oppo has just announced two smartphones to be released in China this year, the Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus. Although both look almost the same when it comes to the design, the specs under the hood are totally different for both models.
The R9 is considered as the R9 Plus' younger brother. It is slightly smaller, with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display. Measurement of the bezels is quite impressive at 1.66 mm on all sides, with a total measurement of 151.8 x 74.3 x 6.6mm.
The Oppo R9 will run on a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset. According to reports four of the processor's Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz while the rest clocked at 1.0GHz. The impressive processor will go along with the device's 4 GB of RAM. The company has definitely done a wonderful job to make sure they put together great specs so that the device will meet the consumers' need.
The R9 has a 64 GB internal storage capacity with an option to add more of up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The camera feature would certainly surprise many people as it carries a 13 MP rear snapper. Interestingly so, the front shooter comes at 16 MP, along with a 78.1-degree field of view and an f/2.0 lens.
If fans think that the Oppo R9 is quite impressive, the R9 plus will definitely blow the minds of consumers.
It carries a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED screen and it is wider than the R9 at 1.76mm. The high-end R9 Plus will run on a Snapdragon 652 chipset with quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A72. It also has the same 4 GB RAM for maximum usage stability.
Although the R9 Plus also has the 64 GB internal storage capacity, there is another version of the phablet with 128 GB internal storage, which is different from its little sibling.
The Oppo R9 is expected to be priced at $430, while its big brother, the R9 Plus, will come in the market with the starting price of ($510).
