"Orange is the New Black" season 5 could be available for streaming on Netflix as early as June 9 next year. The latest will be June 23. Either way, a June premiere should be expected.

There's a lot of excitement about "Orange is the New Black" season 5 following the shocking death of Poussey (Samira Wiley), who was choked to death as the riot took over Litchfield.

It doesn't appear that Poussey will get a proper memorial in "Orange is the New Black" season 5 or that the person responsible for her death will answer to the law. Caputo (Nick Sandow) could not care less about what happened.

According to Emmy award-winning "Orange is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba, Wiley knew that her character will be killed off since the beginning of the season.

"She was very calm about it. I was very glad the creative team, and ["Orange is the New Black" creator Jenji Kohan] in particular, had taken that personal care with her," the actress told Variety.

"We are a family at our show, and we take it so seriously and are so in love with working on that show, something like that could be devastating if not handled with care. The fact they did handle that with care, thought and consideration — I had much respect for that," Aduba continued.

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 is expected to pick up from where season 4 left off, which saw Daya (Dascha Polanco) wielding a gun. It remains a mystery if she will ever use it and who will be at the receiving end.
