'Overwatch' DLC release date update: More details to be revealed late summer

Blizzard Entertainment has big things planned for its new game "Overwatch," which was just released in the third week of May, in terms of downloadable content (DLC).
"We have plans for some hero and map updates, which you'll be hearing more about as we get a little bit further into the summer," game director Jeff Kaplan told Eurogamer.
However, he admitted that the first "Overwatch" DLC will help them test the waters in terms of what gamers want, how they want the content launched and the release rate.
"When we come out with our first new heroes post-launch, we're going to do them one at a time for a while, until we feel the game really stabilizes," Kaplan said.
He added that they would want to release "Overwatch" DLCs at a rate that they won't be disruptive to the game and that Kaplan's team intends to be "careful about overdoing it."
No concrete details have been provided by Kaplan with regards to when the first DLC will be out. It might be too early for it though as majority of the studio has their focus on other games.
"We have parts of the team working on so much of the game right now that a lot of us we're like 'oh yeah, that whole launch thing just happened'," he said, referring to the recent launch of "Overwatch."
In the past, Blizzard teased that the "Overwatch" DLCs will expand the game's roster. The developer is also thinking of releasing the content for free.
The first hero expected to be revealed via "Overwatch" DLC is Sombra. Clues about her are everywhere in the game and it was because Blizzard wants gamers to discover who she is before she is made official.
"We have put a lot of hints, all over the game and out of the game, so I would say it's about time that people are concerned with who Sombra is. I hope they keep researching more and find more hints that are out there," Kaplan teased.
