'Persona 5' release date, gameplay rumors: Game could experience another delay?

"Persona 5" has been one of the most anticipated video game releases this year. However, game developer, Atlus, has yet to provide an official announcement to confirm its development. New reports suggest that the role-playing video game may not be released until next year.

According to a report by Ecumenical News, many players have been anxiously waiting for the next installment of the popular "Persona 5" series. The last installment, "Persona 4," was released in 2008 and the millions of its players are waiting for something new to keep them stay connected with the game.

Unfortunately for the fans, the company has admitted that they are currently experiencing issues with the development of the game; hence, the delayed. Previous reports suggested that the game is supposed to be released in Japan during the summer of 2015. Summer in the Land of the Rising Sun starts in July but until now, there are still no reports of the title's release date details. New rumors are circulating all over the Internet that the new installment could be delayed again.

The current speculations are supported by a CrossMap report, which suggested that the game will come out in 2017. There are reports as well suggesting that Atlus may have intentionally delayed the release of "Persona 5" to avoid stiff competitions this year.

Square Enix has already decided to release the much anticipated "Final Fantasy 15" in September of this year and according to reports, Atlus does not want to go head to head with the more popular role-playing video game series, "Final Fantasy."

Meanwhile, new speculations suggest that the new title will come with new modes – Cooperation mode, Sneak mode and All-out-attack mode. Along with the new features, the game is said to come with new characters as well. However, all of these bits of information has yet to be confirmed by the company.
