"Pokemon Go" gamers' hunting adventures will never be the same again as developer Niantic Labs announced that they are finally releasing the wearable device Pokemon Go Plus.

To those who are unaware of this product, the Pokemon Go Plus is an accessory that works by notifying the players that a Pokemon monster is lurking nearby. It basically provides fans with yet another reason to hit the streets and parks to play the popular augmented-reality smartphone game.

Niantic detailed in the official website of the game that the Pokemon Go Plus serves as a companion device that connects to the phone over Bluetooth Smart. With this technology, gamers can simply put their smartphone in their pocket and proceed with their normal daily routines. The accessory will then vibrate and light up to alert the player that a Pokemon is nearby.

Players just push the button on the ball or they can throw a virtual Pokeball to catch the monster found. With just the click of a button, players can continue with what they are doing and just check their Journal later on to see what pocket monster they just caught.

The Pokemon Go Plus accessory is meant to make the game more convenient for users, especially the die-hard fans. They can play while walking, running, hiking, strolling in the park or even going down the aisles of the library. Because of this device, they no longer need to constantly look at their screens.

Reports said the wearable accessory was supposed to come out in July together with the launch of the game but Niantic pushed back the release date for reasons unknown to the public. The device will be available beginning Sept. 16 in most countries including the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and Japan. It is said to be released later in 2016 in some parts of South America.

Niantic, however, has not yet announced where the game will be available for purchase. The device is sold out in both Amazon and Gamestop. The Pokemon Go Plus costs $34.99.
