'Poldark' season 2 spoilers news: Wraps filming; Aidan Turner returning as Captain Ross Poldark

The BBC hit series "Poldark" has just finished filming its second season, and Aidan Turner is returning as Captain Ross Poldark.
As reported on Radio Times, Turner confirmed in May that the series will pick up exactly where it left off in the first season.
"So it's a time when Ross and Demelza have just lost their child, his company is down the pan, they're broke, and he's been arrested. It looks like he's going to prison. It's a cheery beginning!" said Turner.
Season two will take place in 1794, at the time of the French Revolution. Poldark will be facing trial for the plunder of Warleggan's ship, and he could be executed if he's proven guilty. A love triangle is also set to happen between Ross, his ex-fiancé Elizabeth (Heida Reed), and his current wife Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson). Turner said that "love is a very complex thing" in the second season and that "it is so deep and there are so many layers."
"Poldark" season 2 will also have two additional cast members. John Nettles from "Midsomer Murders" will play a wealthy landowner, while Gabriella Wilde has been cast as Caroline Penvenen, who will be the love interest of MP Unwin Trevaunance.
Fans have also been clamoring for another shirtless scene for Turner after his revealing scything scene from the first season. Fans were said to be taken by surprise by how well built Turner was, but the show's writer Debbie Horsfield said that the show "won't be doing any [of] that" since "autumn is very chilly in Cornwall."
The first season of "Poldark" was adapted from the first two books of Winston Graham's twelve-part series, and the second season is said to be based on the third and fourth books.
"Poldark" season 2 has just wrapped filming, so fans can expect an official announcement for the release sometime within the year.
