'Pretty Little Liars' season 7 release date, spoilers news: Death may have finally caught up to one of the liars

What does the \"Pretty Little Liars\" season 7 mean for Hanna? | Facebook/prettylittleliars

Hanna (Ashley Benson) might be the first of the liars to bite the dust in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7. At least that's what was suggested in the trailer for the new season of the mystery-thriller.

In the season 6 finale of "Pretty Little Liars," Hanna was kidnapped by an unidentified person. As revealed in the clip, big bad AD gave Hanna's friends only 24 hours to save her, sending the girls hysterically racing against the clock.

However, the "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 trailer teases that their time has run out. They arrive at the church where Hanna was being kept and they were terrified at the sight that welcomed them—a seemingly lifeless blonde girl hanging from the church tower.

It is a mystery who this unfortunate individual is, although there are reasons to think that it could be Hanna. But since this is "Pretty Little Liars," it is highly likely that this is simply another game being played on the liars.

Even if that's the case, Hanna remains in serious danger and the search for her may not be over anytime soon. To make matters far worse, it is not only her that need saving.

The "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 trailer showed Alison in grim trouble as well, as she helplessly screams for her life from a hospital bed where she is tied up to.

Another intriguing part of the trailer shows the girls preparing to bury something. Could it be the body they saw in the church tower? Whatever it is, Emily (Shay Mitchell) is not very keen on digging deeper. "There has to be another way," she cries out.

And to shoot the creep factor to skyrocketing levels, fans get a taste of Mary Drake's (Andrea Parker) eccentricity. She brings with her an ominous message in the "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 trailer.

"Every family has secrets. Sometimes, these secrets are people," she warned. Viewers will be seeing a lot more of Jessica DiLaurentis' (Parker) twin in the new season of "Pretty Little Liars."

Clearly, there are more secrets to unravel and mysteries to shed light to in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7. It won't be long before they are all uncovered as the new season premieres Tuesday, June 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
