"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 ropes Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker) back to Rosewood. Jason is among the group of familiar faces set to make a comeback.

"There's going to be a very awkward family dinner with his aunt and his sister," executive producer Marlene King teased during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

However, it remains a mystery what brings him back into the fray in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7. Jason only appeared in five episodes last season, the last one being in "Game Over, Charles."

He went on to be the co-founder of Carissimi Group, the same group that gave Hanna (Ashley Benson) the scholarship. It will be exciting to see what Jason will be up to in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7.

Apart from Jason, also returning is Brant Daugherty as Noel Kahn. He hasn't appeared in the previous season and only appeared in the show's fifth run twice.

In the episode "March of Crimes, he earned the qualms of the liars after he uncharacteristically decided to help Alison (Sasha Pieterse).

It's been a year since Noel has appeared, but "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 will finally rectify this. However, fans will have to wait until episode 8 of the season to see Noel back in action.

Jenna (Tammin Sursok) has also been confirmed to return in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7. Many fans certainly missed her, but she and her signature sunglasses are officially back.

Teasing the return of familiar characters in "Pretty Little Liars" season 7, King told Entertainment Weekly, "We're calling it our season of homecomings, and there are a lot of old faces that are going to feel like new faces when we see them again this year."

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 premieres on June 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
