'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers, plot news: Michael works for his 'happy ending,' his and Sara's son expected to change dynamic
"Prison Break" season 5 will follow Michael Scofield's (Wentworth Miller) long and arduous journey as he attempts to come home to Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and their son.
During an interview with TVLine at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), Miller talked about his character's endeavor to be reunited with his family and how Sara will react seeing him after all this time.
"Sara has moved on with her life to the best of her abilities. Michael, in a way, has not. He's been elsewhere for seven years, up to various things," the actor said.

Miller said that Sara remains the "emotional bulls-eye" for Michael so in "Prison Break" season 5, fans will see him do whatever it takes to get to her and to their son whom he never met.
"The question is when he gets there, will she even recognize him? Is he still the man that she fell in love with? Because he's been up to dark things and has walked some shady road so my question is... does Michael deserve a happy ending? Does he deserve that reunion with Sara?" Miller mused.
Although "Prison Break" season 5 will make fans of the series feel like coming home, there will also be changes to expect such as the revival dealing with a plot of a global setting.
As for Sara and Michael's family, Callies said during the Facebook Live interview at Comic Con that things will be different now with a new member of the family involved.
"There's a new focal point and that's our son," the actress said. "Before, we had that sort of liberty to take certain risks and to live for each other and now, there's this boy that needs to be taken care of and that changes the dynamic substantially," she stated.
During his TVLine interview, Miller suggested that he is open to going beyond "Prison Break" season 5 if the fans want it and they have more stories to tell.
"Prison Break" season 5 premieres spring 2017 on FOX.
