'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date news 2016: Rockstar Games no-show in PS Meeting; Game not coming?

"Red Dead Redemption" fans are still waiting for the day that they will hear updates regarding the sequel of the open world action-adventure video game. Unfortunately, there are still no official details about its development until now.
According to reports, the game was expected to make an appearance at Sony's PlayStation Meeting which took place last Sept. 7. But the fans who attended the event were dismayed as there was no sign of "Red Dead Redemption 2" or even publisher Rockstar Games. The video game developer was a no-show, leading to speculations that the game isn't coming anytime this year.
Some are even saying that perhaps Rockstar has no plans at all to give the public a part two to the adventure of the game's protagonist, John Marston. The absence of the company at the Sony event is similar to what took place days before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. Rumors said that Take-Two Interactive, owner of Rockstar, will do a big reveal.
Many believed that the unveiling had something to do with the sequel. But none of it happened as the studio did not even attend the convention at all. Now fans are left wondering even more about when the game will be announced or if it will ever come to reality.
Several rumors and speculations have already surfaced but none are close to being legit. There was even a poster that circulated online and indicated that an announcement could be made this November. However, it turned out to be fan-made and therefore fake.
Disappointment is nothing new anymore to the fans of the game but many are still hoping that at least a remastered "Red Dead Redemption" will be released. There are reports going around saying that Rockstar will be releasing a remastered version on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. If this is true, then this will be the first time that the game will be available in all platforms.
But since nothing is confirmed, it's best to take rumors with a pinch of salt. Fans are still crossing their fingers that the game will be released sometime in 2017.
