'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date rumors: New screenshot hints remastered original, E3 appearance

"Red Dead Redemption 2" has been in the grapevine this week due to its expected appearance at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). However, developer Rockstar has more in store for fans apart from the sequel.
Reddit user Gaudynights claims that the website for the game hints of a remastered version of the first game on top of the long-awaited follow-up to the western shooter.
Rockstar's website was down for a while, and according to the tipster, it is because the developer is updating the website. The sort of updating he was talking about involves "Red Dead Redemption 2" marketing content being pre-loaded prior to the reveal of the game.
There were two "Red Dead Redemption" games that showed up during his mining. The first one is "Red Dead Redemption 2" and the other, he believes, is a remaster of the original game.
Another Reddit user by the name WColt provided a screenshot of what is believed comes from "Red Dead Redemption 2." The image was taken from a portfolio of a Rockstar employee.
It is unknown which upcoming "Red Dead Redemption" game the photo is from, but the house featured in the image looked nothing like the houses in the first installment.
Some Reddit users believe that the photo is from "Red Dead Redemption 2" and that it is located in Thieves' Landing, which was interestingly included in the so-called leak map from the sequel.
However, the source believes that it is of the remastered version since it looks like elements and graphics simply look updated instead of new. Some users surmise that it is an old screenshot from "Red Dead Redemption" during its development phase.
Whatever the case is and if Rockstar is really working on a remastered version of the original in addition to a sequel, should all be revealed at E3, which is scheduled June 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
