Historical fantasy romance "Reign" season 4 is still happening despite rumors suggesting that the series has been cancelled due to poor ratings.

According to a report, production for the upcoming season 4 has already commenced and the show has already added in new faces to appear. First in the list is "Van Helsing" star Will Kemp who will be playing the character Lord Darnley, Mary's (Adelaide Kane) second husband. Their union is said to take down Elizabeth, giving the couple "not just one nation, but two."

But it seems like Lord Darnley will not be staying too long in the series. In history, the real-life Lord Darnley got killed just a year after getting married. If the show decides to follow the real events, Kemp's character will be killed off.

Another star that is reported to be coming in season 4 is Adam Croasdell, who played a role in the 2012 film "Werewolf: The Beast Among Us." He will be portraying the role of Bothwell, Mary's third husband. He is described to be a "warm-hearted bad boy" who is very in love with Mary.

Aside from Mary's suitors, TV Line detailed that other new characters that will be joining in the series include Gabriel and older version of Henry. The former is Narcisse's son who is described to be a "sexy and highborn rogue who is also a plain-speaking realist." He is said to marry Princess Claude (Rose Williams).

Meanwhile, the latter is Charles' (Spencer MacPherson) younger brother. The character was originally played by Jackson Hodge-Carter when the character was still little. He is also described as "sexy, clever and ambitious." Apparently, he isn't ecstatic about his brother taking over the throne.

According to recent reports, "Reign" season 4 has not been cancelled but it will be delayed. The show is said to have been moved to a different premiere date so that it does not collide with "Game of Thrones," which is a big hit right now.
