Survival horror video game "Resident Evil 7" isn't coming out until next year. But just like any other upcoming games, publisher Capcom is making sure to bring up the hype for its arrival.

Recently, the game released information about the Green Herb which is actually just like the ones found in the first "Resident Evil." Reports noted that it's still going to be the item that will be used by players to heal.

Capcom released the first sneak peek to the Resident Evil Ambassadors or to the fans who signed up to receive Capcom's newsletter. A photo of what the healing item looks like is shown beside some medicinal bottles. It's still to be revealed whether other herbs will be included in the game.

Aside from the herb, the photo also teased the existence of a coin. The developers chose to keep fans curious by keeping mum about it. The coin's significance is still kept as a mystery.

In other news, "Resident Evil 7" is, reportedly, going to be virtual reality (VR) compatible. It's good news for those who want to try the game out in the most realistic way that they could. However, fans will have to take note that the VR version of the game will most likely cost more than the normal.

As detailed in a report by Gaming Bolt, Capcom revealed that they had to add certain things to the game to make it VR compatible.

The graphics are now more complex which led to an increase in the investment for the game's development. Fortunately, the developers were able to utilize tools that helped them minimize costs while making the VR version of the game.

"We believe we have succeeded in optimizing our development process via fundamental technologies including our 3D scanning system, lighting, and shading, which allowed us to minimize additional costs while achieving high-quality development," Capcom explained.

Fans will have to stay tuned to find out how much the VR-compatible game will cost. "Resident Evil 7" will be released on Jan 24, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
