'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date delay news 2016: Premiere could be pushed back, Evil Morty coming?

Adult animated science-fiction series "Rick and Morty" is expected to return to the small screen soon for its season 3. But just recently, fans of the series went on a social media frenzy when reports suggested that the slated release date will be pushed back and be delayed.
It all started after a tweet from the official Twitter account of the show said, "There you go- the wait for season 3 is now 30 mins longer! Back to work for us." There was no clear explanation what the post meant but it led several to interpret it as an announcement of delay of the premiere date.
The show is expected to premiere sometime later this July. There is no specific date yet but fans are already looking forward to catching new episodes of the series by the third or fourth week. But while some are speculating that the post meant a delay in the progress, others think that it was just trying to say that the show will be shifting to hour-long episodes instead of their usual half-hour segments. Fans can only hope that the latter is the correct one.
Movie Pilot also suggested that the tweet was just trying to say that the show is getting a later time slot which is 30 minutes later than the usual. But until details are confirmed and made official, it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
There's a lot to look forward to "Rick and Morty" season 3, with reports saying that creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland previously teased that the upcoming season is the best that they have ever done. Rumors say that they have written a backstory that will surely break hearts. It's also said that Rick's ex-wife, Morty's grandmother, will make an appearance. Moreover, Evil Morty is said to be introduced in the third season.
