'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date, spoilers, update: Rick tries to escapes prison

Adult Swim's popular animated science fiction sitcom, "Rick and Morty," is returning to the small screen for its third season. However, the question of the matter is when it will start airing new episodes.
The third installment was anticipated to kick off last month, but August already ended, and there was no sign of the cartoon show despite the teaser that was released during the San Diego Comic-Con.
According to reports, "Rick and Morty" season 3 still has no definite release date, but fans should have nothing to worry about because its creators are working hard to make it the best season to date.
Writer Mike McMahan assured fans through his Twitter account that season 3 will be worth the wait. Saying, "Greatness takes time," McMahan is asking fans to wait and "just relax." It's also already announced that the show will be having a bigger episode count compared to the last two seasons.
As detailed in a report, it's already confirmed that season 3 will have a total of 14 episodes. Season 1 and season 2 had 10 episodes. And once season 3 unfolds, fans will be watching Rick enter Galactic Federation Prison, but he probably won't stay long behind bars.
Spoilers suggest that Rick will try to escape space prison. In the sketched teaser trailer released, Rick is seen with a body of an insect, trying to squeeze his way out of jail. He even gets a good workout with the giant-sized rats as soon as he obtained a new beefed-up body later on in the clip.
It's still to be known, though, if he will be able to make it. Speculations hint that somebody could be helping him break free. Aside from that, a breakout fight is expected to take place. Rick will be facing a new powerful villain who will make his time in jail more miserable than it's supposed to be.
More details are expected to be released soon, so fans should stay tuned for updates on "Rick and Morty" season 3.
