'Rick and Morty' season 3 release date, spoilers: Will fans see the return of Evil Morty?

The third season of "Rick and Morty" is coming early next year, and there is a possibility that fans will be seeing Evil Morty make a dramatic return.
Evil Morty was first introduced in season 1 during the episode "Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind," where he turned out to be the mastermind behind the kidnapping of multiple Mortys from different dimensions. At the end of the episode, he hid himself among the crowd of Mortys who were being sent back to their homes. Evil Morty is made noticeable by his signature eye patch, but he may be too smart to wear that thing again.
Fans never got to see Evil Morty return for the second season. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Dan Harmon said that they will be revisiting a lot of things in the next season.
"I re-watched both seasons a couple nights ago ... And now, I'm excited about revisiting stuff in season three because I was so phobic about revisiting stuff in season two," he stated.
Evil Morty's disappearance made it seem that the show would have him come back, but no such thing happened in the second season. With Harmon's comment on revisiting material from the previous season, fans have only speculated that it could mean the return of Evil Morty.
"Rick and Morty" season 3 is rumored to see Rick (who is still in an intergalactic prison) kidnapped by Evil Morty, and it will be up to the real Morty to save him, along with a fake Rick.
Harmon also denied the rumors that the upcoming season of "Rick and Morty" will be released within the year. Speaking with Paste Magazine, he said, "That I can squash. I don't see any parallel universe where August is a possibility . . . We're a while from being able to give a hard date. Part of that is just that we're still figuring it out as we work over here."
"Rick and Morty" season 3 is most likely to come out in 2017.
