'Salem' season 3 update, spoilers: Marilyn Manson's character teased; new season is darker than ever

The third season of the supernatural TV series "Salem" is all set to air this Halloween season, and it's the perfect schedule as the show is expected to bring in more terror.
For starters, the devil has arrived in Salem, and spoilers reveal that he has found a friend in recurring character Thomas Dinley who will be played by rock star Marilyn Manson. Thomas is the town's new barber or amateur surgeon, but aside from that, he is the devil's ally.
He is described as "the go-to man" in the show, giving shaves and haircuts while also leeching, slicing, and sewing up bodies. Network WGN America released the first look of Manson's character in a short video, and it showed that Thomas is, no doubt, going to bring some chills and creeps to viewers soon.
The bloody teaser alone proves just that as Thomas is seen eating a leech off of a corpse of a woman. He is also set to create hell on Earth as he will be working alongside the devil who will be going to a war with Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery).
"My character ends up being something that could be called the devil's advocate or the devil's best friend," Manson told Entertainment Weekly.
But since Mary is dead, she will still need to be resurrected. Spoilers reveal that Thomas will not play a part in bringing Mary back from the dead, but he is said to be working on both sides of the conflict. A lot more about Manson's character will be unveiled soon so fans will have to stay tuned to know what he will be bringing to the show.
In the meantime, followers of the series can expect "Salem" season 3 to go darker than ever. As noted in a report by Zap2It, Elise Eberle, who plays as Mercy Lewis, said that the upcoming season is going to be "all about survival." The witches will need to work hand in hand in order to stop the devil who was also brought to the world by a witch.
The third season of "Salem" will premiere on Nov. 2 on WGN America.
