Samsung has been constantly revamping its Galaxy A series and next in line is the rumored Galaxy A7 2017.

According to reports, the purported device has been spotted on GFXBench and the listing suggested a new and improved version of its predecessors. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the Samsung Galaxy A7 is said to sport the same 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.

It is also noted that the device will have a different processor. Instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, it will be equipped with Samsung's own Exynos 7870 chipset with Mali T830 graphics. It will have the same 3 GB of RAM but its storage space will be increased from 16 GB to 32 GB. It can also be expanded further with a microSD card.

The most notable change, however, is the phone's camera feature. The current version of the Galaxy A7 carries a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Rumors hinted that the 2017 model will have a bump up on both the front and back cameras.

It is said that the selfie snapper will upgrade to 16 megapixels. This is very rare for front cameras but fans will have to wait and see if Samsung really makes it that way. The rear camera is also said to have 16 megapixels with autofocus, LED flash and touch focus.

Reported connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GLONASS/ BDS, and NFC.

Moreover, the upcoming smartphone will reportedly run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, it may potentially be pre-installed with the Android 7.0 Nougat if it is launched at the time of the latest Google operating system release. Interested consumers shouldn't get their hopes up too high though because the Galaxy A7 2016 model had the older Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system despite the release of the newer Marshmallow update.

A fingerprint scanner is also expected. Official details as well as the release date of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 will be unveiled soon.
