Samsung Galaxy Note 7 news: Samsung to unveil next Note at Unpacked event

Samsung loyalists are in for a treat as rumors surrounding this year's release of a new Galaxy Note have finally been confirmed. As part of its preparation to launch the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is planning a special event for it which will be held on Aug. 2.
The South Korean tech giant has recently released a statement announcing that it is gearing up for the Galaxy Unpacked event in early August. According to the announcement, the event will be launched simultaneously in New York, London and Rio De Janeiro. Fans can also get to see the big Galaxy Note 7 reveal via live streaming at Samsung's official website and Newsroom.
Samsung described the upcoming phablet as "a powerful instrument for achievement and self-expression." It also dished some specs details of the Galaxy Note 7, including a large display and added functionality of the S-pen.
Reports suggest that the phone is getting a 5.8 inch wide curved Quad-HD AMOLED screen just like the Galaxy S7, giving customers a display perfect for playing videos, surfing the internet, and playing games. According to Android Pit, the phone is getting a host of other upgrades, too. These include an iris scanner, a laptop doc, a stand for the Galaxy Note Pen, a type-C port, a camera with a sensor of f/1.4 aperture, and 24 MP for resolution.
The Galaxy Note 7 is said to run on Snapdragon 823 and offer up 6 GB worth of RAM and 256 GB worth of internal storage while running on a massive 4,200 mAh battery.
With great specs packed into one phone, it stands as a good reason for Samsung to skip the sixth Galaxy Note and put it at the same level as the Galaxy S series. All fans have to do now is wait till Aug. 2 comes their way.
