Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs news: New leak confirms curved display

An alleged new teaser image for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 seemingly corroborates the rumors about the phablet getting a curved display with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to come with an Edge version or at least change its looks the same as the curved smartphones being released by Samsung.
The teaser plays with that design change and reads "write on the edge of something great." The silhouette of the phablet shows curved edges. The teaser may also be pertaining to an improved S-Pen.
Either way, it is a clear indication that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is getting a major makeover. If accurate, the device will be the first Galaxy Note to have curved displays.
But there's still the question of the teaser image's authenticity so users are advised to take this with a pinch of salt for now.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been in the rumor mills for quite some time now. First, it was called Galaxy Note 6, but Samsung allegedly changed it to Note 7 to bring into line with the "S" line.
With regards to the specs, the most exciting aspect about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the 10-nanometer LPDDR4 6 GB DRAM introduced just last month.
This powerful memory, which will consume less power and prolong the battery life, will be paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor for the ultimate performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is also rumored to come with an iris scanner and a 5.8-inch Quad HD (High Definition) Super AMOLED display.
The next-generation phablet is also reportedly getting a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f /1.7 aperture.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be launched next month or August. With the teaser image already set up, Samsung may be gearing up for the big reveal already.
