Samsung Galaxy S8 is getting a cool new camera feature, if the reports are to be believed. The flagship will be released with what is being called as the Smart Glow.

This feature comes in the form of a ring around the lens of the rear-facing camera that lights up in various colors to alert users of incoming messages or calls (even missed calls).

The Smart Glow ring on the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also warn users when the smartphone is low in battery. Lastly, it is also useful when taking photos or selfies using the rear camera.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will not be the first one to don the Smart Glow. According to Sam Mobile, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) will debut this feature and the company will use it on its upcoming releases.

Apart from the handy Smart Glow, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is also rumored to come with a dual display. A patent for an unnamed top-tier smartphone gave the hint.

According to Patently Mobile, the patent mentions of two different displays placed on each side of what was called a "built-in cover," which can be folded open to reveal the second screen.

Although it is not indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the one that will put this patent to life, it is believed that the flagship may end up being that device should the patent will be put to use.

Another interesting aspect mentioned in the dual screen patent is the possible inclusion of a processor or a graphics processing unit that will cater to mobile television support on the device.

Past rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will boast a 4K resolution with Virtual Reality (VR) support. This technology is already in prototype form.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to be unveiled early next year.
