Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs rumors 2016: device to come with dual-lens setup, dual boot capabilities?
Despite a recent controversy regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, fans of the South Korea-based tech giant are still eager to find news about the next gadget in the company's line of smartphone devices. Although the tech company has been keeping quiet, rumors and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S8 have been circulating online.

An apparent leak that was posted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo has sparked numerous discussions and speculations about the upcoming flagship phone. According to the leak, the Galaxy S8 will have a dual-lens setup, with a 12-megapixel Samsung camera and a 13-MP Sony camera on its rear. The smartphone will also reportedly have an 8-MP front camera.
Additionally, the Galaxy S8 is expected to come out with a curved screen. This rumor popped up after sources from the tech industry revealed to the Korea Herald that Samsung is considering letting go of a flat screen design.
PC Advisor UK speculates that the gadget would come with a 5.1-inch and a 5.5-inch screen for the Galaxy S8 and the possible Galaxy S8 Edge, respectively. This notion was backed by Korea Herald's sources who claim that Samsung is already acquiring panels in these sizes.
According to SamMobile, a patent filed in May 2015 was published in South Korea. It showed a device, similar to what the Galaxy S8 is expected to look like, using both an Android and a Windows OS. This leads some to speculate that the upcoming smartphone might come with a dual boot feature.
Apart from this, many suggest that the device will come with either a next generation Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 830, or one of Samsung's own technology, most probably the Exynos 8895. However, Expert Reviews believes that it is hard to tell whether the Galaxy S8 model with an Exynos processor will come out since there are very few rumors about Samsung using that chip.
Regarding the smartphone's random access memory (RAM), reports claim that it will have 4 GB of RAM at the very least, but it is also possible that the gadget will sport 6 GB of RAM.
The release date of the Samsung Galaxy S8 has not been announced but based on Samsung's tradition, many suppose the device will come in February or March 2017.
