Even though there's still more than half a year to go before the Samsung Galaxy S8 releases, there's already a ton of leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S7 successor coming from every direction.

The latest bit of news is that the flagship will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch 4K Ultra high-definition display, which is in the works in Samsung's laboratories at the moment.

Revealed during the Society for Information Display event in California, the display (a prototype of it) boasts 806ppi of pixel density, which is so much more than what's offered by smartphone flagships today.

The display is also built to support Virtual Reality (VR), which will make the Samsung Galaxy S8 the first device to integrate the blooming innovation. The Ultra HD resolution should be enough to support such technology.

Although it hasn't been confirmed that the Ultra HD display will debut on the Samsung Galaxy S8, many believe that no other device should have it first but the said handset.

"Considering various factors including the production yield rate for the next-generation display expected to improve in the coming months, the 5.5-inch AMOLED will be deployed in the next Galaxy smartphone, presumably, named the S8," a UBI Research analyst said as quoted by Korea Herald.

However, with a VR-level display on board, the Samsung Galaxy S8 should pack a chunk of a battery or it will not offer long hours of usage and drain quickly.

In addition to the Ultra HD resolution of the display, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature a dual-camera setup, which is slowly becoming the norm for premium devices as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 isn't the only device believed to sport the said feature. Its rival, the iPhone 7, is also rumored to come with it, at least its so-called Plus version.

Samsung Galaxy S8 won't be launched until early next year. Although it is amazing to get scoop about it with the Samsung Galaxy S7 still in its price, fans are advised to take this report with a pinch of salt.
