Samsung Galaxy View tablet sales news: Discount price at $349 at Best Buy

Those who have been eyeing Samsung's massive tablet called Galaxy View are in for a treat as electronics corporation Best Buy is currently putting the device on sale.
As listed on Best Buy's website, the Samsung Galaxy View is now priced at $349.99. From a launch price of $549.99, buyers will be able to save $200 or 36 percent when they the 18.4-inch tablet.
This is not the first time the device went through a price drop. Apparently, its standard price is too hefty for a tablet with mid-range specs. Most tablets that come in the same size usually go all-in on the multimedia experience, but the Galaxy View only has limited features and mobilities.
Even its hardware parts are not that impressive. Under the hood is an Exynos 7580 Octa chipset with an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and a Mali-T720MP2 GPU. It has a 2 GB RAM with a native storage of 32 GB that can be further expanded via microSD card slot. The device is also packed with a non-removable Li-On 5,700mAh battery which provides the device sufficient power to light up the big display.
Moreover, the Galaxy View runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop and features a 2.1-megapixel front camera. However, it has no rear camera included. It also comes with a built-in kickstand which is convenient when in use for entertainment viewing or even for work. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB v2.0, and Bluetooth.
For those who are planning to purchase the discounted tablet, they will get Kaspersky Internet Security, software to protect up to three devices from viruses, malware, phishing attacks, and other online threats, for free.
The duration of the promo wasn't cited, but interested buyers will have to be quick to snatch one as stocks may run out. The Samsung Galaxy View is available in black with free 2-day shipping.
