'Scorpion' season 3 release date, plot spoilers: Walter admits his feelings for Paige
The season finale of "Scorpion" season 2 had every member of the team dealing with their own personal issues. The third season is said to have a timeline that starts only hours after the season two finale, and it will have Walter (Elyes Gabel) admitting to himself that he has feelings for Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee).
"Scorpion's" executive producer, Nick Wootton, says fans will be seeing what happens to Walter as he drives all the way up to Tahoe. This might spell trouble for Paige, as she is set to marry Tim (Scott Porter) in Tahoe.
Fans are all wondering whether Walter will make it in time or not, but Nick Santora, the creator of "Scorpion" and one of the show's executive producers, says that the Paige and Walter will always have a special bond. In an interview earlier interview with TVLine, he says: "the Waige relationship will always be there. Even if it's bubbling under the surface, even if they have relationships with other people, it's always there."
Aside from the Waige pairing, Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is also set to have some bumps and bruises when it comes to the topic of love. He will apparently try to reclaim a lost love, following some surprising revelations from Happy (Jadyn Wong).
With all this news of love interests in the show, Wootton also goes on to say that the show will not only focus on love interests but on other things as well. Wootton said, "So we're gonna see what happens when Walter goes up to Tahoe. We're going to actually be taking characters in different directions as opposed to love interests." For a show about hacking, there is a lot of drama going on for the characters.
The third season of "Scorpion" is set to come out on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
