'Scream Queens' season 2 release date, plot spoilers: Chanel's new love interest hinted; John Stamos stripping naked?
Only a few months left to count until horror-comedy series "Scream Queens" hits the small screen again. Moving forward to its second season, the show will be featuring a whole new location and will be introducing new faces into the mix.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Scream Queens" season 2 will revolve around a spooky hospital where Chanel (Emma Roberts), Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd) and Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin) were sentenced to life before season 2 ended. In there, they will cross paths with new characters who will be played by newbies Taylor Lautner and John Stamos.
Stamos will play Dr. Brock Holt, a brilliant head surgeon with many secrets to hide. On the other hand, Lautner will play Cassidy Cascade who is also a doctor but with an eccentric medical condition. It's still not known what the two characters will bring into the storyline but as noted by TVLine, Roberts hinted a major spoiler.
She said that one of the two new men will be her new love interest in the show. She did not give away further details but several are rooting for an "age appropriate" romance between the characters of Roberts and Lautner.
Fans should also be expecting some stripping down in the upcoming series. During an interview with E! News, Glen Powell, who plays self-centered fraternity president Chad Radwell, dished that newest addition Stamos will be sporting a birthday suit in one of the episodes for season 2. But he won't be alone as Powell revealed that he will also be showing off his derriere on screen.
"All I can tell you is that I read a scene where John Stamos and I are not wearing clothes," Powell told the publication. "So I have to figure out my diet. I should probably not have a carb for a second because I don't want John Stamos to show me up," he added.
"Scream Queens" season 2 will premiere on Sept. 20 on FOX.
