'Scream Queens' season 2 spoilers news: More blood, more deaths... and more fun?

"Scream Queens" season 2 will be much darker, according to actress Jamie Lee Curtis and this is predominantly because of the new setting of the new season.

"I think it'll be dark. I think it's going to be very dark. It's in a hospital, [there's] a lot of darkness in hospitalsâ€”dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, a lot of blood, disinfectants," Curtis told E! Online.

Cast member Lea Michelle is also excited for her character Hester in "Scream Queens" season 2, although she has no idea how her character could get any more sinister, considering she was one of the Red Devil killers in the first season.

Emma Roberts also teased fans of the new "incredible" cast members they will meet in "Scream Queens" season 2. As to who could those be, the star promised fans will find out "soon."

Earlier this year, it was revealed that "Scream Queens" season 2 will add four male characters who will play the role of doctors. One of these guys is said to be a "big pop star," as per "Scream Queens" creator Ryan Murphy.

This prompted rumors that Harry Styles of One Direction will be the pop star to show off his acting chops. There's no confirmation of this yet but the singer seems to be a grapevine favorite as he is also being rumored to join "Teen Wolf."

Despite the darker setting, Roberts promised that "Scream Queens" season 2 "is going to be fun, it's going to be wild." Michelle added that things will be crazier than they were in the first season.

"Scream Queens" season 2 will feature the surviving characters from the first season and puts them in an entirely new plot and new setting and situation.

The second run of the comedy-thriller is said to be inspired by the classic John Carpenter slasher horror film "Halloween," which Curtis appeared in.

"Scream Queens" season 2 is slated to premiere this July on FOX.
