'Sense8' season 2 premiere date, news: Expect 'more sex, more violence'; Rajan goes to the dark side?

Following its critically acclaimed first season, Netflix sic-fi drama "Sense8" is poised to make a stunning return with its hotly anticipated second season in 2017.
Among the many changes fans can expect in "Sense8" season 2 are new cast members, a possible new villain, and more controversial, boundary-pushing scenes.
In an interview with BuzzFeed News in May, "Sense8" actor Max Riemelt, who plays the Berlin locksmith Wolfgang, said that fans can look forward to more sexual and violent content in the show's new season.
"There's more sex, more violence, more of everything!" he said. "We're pushing the boundaries."
The new season is also said to underscore the blossoming relationship between Kala, played by Tina Desai, and Wolfgang. The romance between the two will reportedly be one of the reasons behind Rajan's (Purab Kohli) descent into the dark side. According to Blasting News, Rajan will emerge in season 2 as one of the show's new villains.
"Sense8" juggles the interwoven stories of eight strangers or "sensates" as they discover that they are mentally, spiritually, and emotionally linked. The "sensates," each from a difficult culture and part of the globe, are able to communicate and use each other's knowledge, skills, and language. With each of the "sensates" being a different nationality, the show is set in and filmed in many different countries, including the United States, England, India, Germany, Mexico, Korea, and Kenya.
Perhaps the gruelling task of producing the show, which takes its team all across the globe, is one of the reasons behind the recently announced departure of Lillly Wachowski from the series. According to BuzzFeed News, Wachowski, who created, directed, and wrote "Sense8" with her twin sister Lana, has stepped back from the series.
"Lilly needed to take some time off," Jamie Clayton, who plays the trans hacktivist Nomi, told the outlet about Wachowski's exit. According to BuzzFeed, Lilly and Lana have worked together as a single creative unit on all of their projects, including "The Matrix" trilogy and "Speed Racer" (2008), for over twenty years. In Lilly's absence, Lana will be taking over many of her duties on "Sense8."
While Netflix has yet to announce the official release date for "Sense8," it is expected to drop in early 2017.
