'Sense8' season 2 spoilers and update: Aml Ameen leaves show; love triangle of Wolfgang, Kala and Rajan continues

Science-fiction drama series "Sense8" just recently closed its first season. And just like any other season finale, it left off with a major cliffhanger. Followers of the show are thrilled to know what will happen next but they will have to wait a little while as the season 2 of the Netflix series will not be back in the small screen until next year.

Fans are not left out in the dark entirely though. Spoilers for "Sense8" season 2 have surfaced, suggesting promising storylines for all the characters as well as some apparent changes. In a report by Buzzfeed, it revealed that an actor in the show will be replaced. Aml Ameen, who played as Capheus, is leaving the show due to undisclosed reasons.

Some of the fans reacted about his departure voicing out that they are not in for the change. Some also questioned why Ameen had to leave. Since no answer was given, some speculated that Ameen left because of the transgender community issue. Co-creator of the show Lilly Wachowski and actress Jamie Clayton, who plays as Nomi Marks, are both transgender.

Clayton was quick to debunk the speculation though and explained that Ameen left due to creative reasons. Toby Onwumere, a recent graduate of UC San Diego, will be replacing Ameen. Aside from the change in character, there will also be new dark characters coming. This will lead the sensates to all the more come together and learn more about their abilities to fight against the antagonist Whisper.

In an interview with Gold Derby, creator J. Michael Straczynski revealed that the sensates will discover other clusters. They mythology behind the sensates will also finally be exposed. Moreover, the love triangle between Wolfgang (Max Riemelt), Kala (Tina Desai) and Rajan (Purab Kohli) will continue. Kala has feelings for Wolfgang but it's not going to be easy for them.

"Sense8" season 2 will premiere in January 2017 on Netflix.
